Become a Franklins £50 Challenge Charity Partner 2027

Could your charity benefit from increased awareness, new connections and fundraising support?

The Franklins £50 Challenge returns for 2027, bringing charities, businesses and communities together to turn £50 into thousands.

We are inviting local charities to apply to become one of up to 12 charity partners.

Applications close: 2nd October 2026
Challenge dates: 23rd February – 29th May 2027

Almost £250,000 has already been raised for local charities.

Why become a Charity Partner?

Being part of the Franklins £50 Challenge is about more than fundraising.

It is an opportunity to:

  • Raise funds through teams supporting your charity
  • Introduce your charity to new businesses and supporters
  • Build relationships within the local community
  • Increase awareness of your cause
  • Share your story through photography, video and social media content
  • Connect with teams who are passionate about making a difference
  • Celebrate your achievements at our end-of-challenge awards and celebration event

Previous charity partners have told us that the challenge has helped them reach new audiences, create valuable connections and showcase the work they do.

What we are looking for

We are looking for charities that are enthusiastic, engaged and ready to make the most of the opportunity.

As a charity partner, you will play an important role in helping make the challenge a success.

Successful charities will be expected to:

  • Recruit a minimum of five fundraising teams, primarily from the local business community
  • Identify businesses, sole traders or organisations who may want to take part
  • Promote the challenge through your own networks
  • Support and encourage fundraising teams throughout the challenge
  • Share updates, stories and content during the campaign
  • Work collaboratively with Franklins and your fundraising teams

We appreciate every charity will have different networks and levels of experience, and Franklins will support you throughout the process.

How will Franklins support you?

As a charity partner, you will receive support from the Franklins team throughout the challenge, including:

  • Guidance on promoting the challenge and recruiting teams
  • Promotion through Franklins’ website and social media channels
  • Opportunities for photography and video content
  • Inclusion in campaign communications
  • Opportunities to connect with participating teams and other charity partners
  • Support in celebrating your fundraising journey

Who should apply?

We would love to hear from local charities that:

  • Have a clear purpose and passion for their cause
  • Want to engage with local businesses and supporters
  • Can commit time to promoting and supporting the challenge
  • Have ideas for how they could make the most of the opportunity

Charity partners are selected by Franklins and we are unable to guarantee places for all applicants. We will announce our 2027 charity partners in late October.
