Prior to joining Franklins, Georgia also gained valuable experience working as an HR Coordinator at a city law firm. This role provided her with a unique perspective on the everyday challenges faced by employers and HR professionals, which she now brings to her work at Franklins.

Georgia works closely with our Head of Employment, Sara Marshall, and the wider Employment team, acting for both employers and employees on a range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. Georgia helps her clients navigate the complexities of employment law effectively, whilst being approachable and empathetic to their personal circumstances.

Georgia specialises in particular in:

• Advising employers and employees on settlement agreements, including negotiating settlement terms;
• Drafting and reviewing employment contracts;
• Preparing staff handbooks;
• Advising on restrictive covenants;
• Ensuring compliance with s1 Employment Rights Act 1996;
• Unfair Dismissal; and
• Providing bespoke guidance on grievance and disciplinary procedures.

She frequently advises on and negotiates settlement agreements and supports employees to understand their rights and achieve the best outcomes and compensation to which they are entitled . She understands that bringing a claim can be stressful and daunting, and her warm, supportive manner gives clients confidence in the process and next steps .

Sara’s specialisms include settlement agreements, unfair dismissal, redundancy, sex discrimination, employment tribunal claims, discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation, race discrimination, disability discrimination, maternity and paternity rights, flexible working and working time, equal pay, bullying and victimisation, and restrictive covenants. She is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and is passionate about employment law

Outside of work Sara enjoys family time with her husband and two children and walking their dog Bailey. Sara is a keen runner.
