  • Copyright
    Copyright is a form of intellectual property which gives the creator of an original work exclusive rights for a certain time period in relation to that work, including its publication, distribution and adaptation after which time the work is said to enter the public domain.

  • Registered Design Rights
    In essence, Registered Design Rights protect the appearance of "new" consumer items, and can include logos or characters associated with the same in terms of being part of the "get-up" of such items.

  • Trade Marks
    A sign which is capable of distinguishing the goods or services of one undertaking from those of another. It is essentially a "badge of origin". A sign must not have already been registered in respect of the goods or services to which it relates, and it must not be descriptive of the goods or services to which it relates.
