We recently acted for a company that provide temporary nursing staff and who had had a claim issued against them in the Central London County Court.
Our Client tendered for a contract in a care home and had been successful. They offered the temporary staff who were already working at the care home the option of continuing with them. However, the company who had originally supplied the temporary staff and lost the contract then proceeded to make a claim against both the care home and our Client.
The allegations against our Client included the poaching of their staff and the damages sought were substantive. We were successful in negotiating with the Claimants to discontinue their proceedings and pay our Client's costs.
