In December 2005, the Civil Partnership Act came into force. This legislation introduces new rights to same sex couples. You may now apply for legal recognition of your relationship by entering into and registering a Civil Partnership. In the event of the relationship breaking down, you will need to apply to the Courts for the formal dissolution of the partnership.
We can provide advice on the effects of registering your partnership and on the process of dissolving your partnership.
