Within about two weeks of the Defence being sent to the Court, the Court will send each party an Allocation Questionnaire. This questionnaire allows the Court to manage the case, by providing details of the number of proposed witnesses, whether expert evidence is to be used and the likely value of the claim allowing the Court to allocate the claim to the correct track, for more on which please see preceding page. A fee of £200 must be sent to the Court along with the Allocation Questionnaire. It is possible for either or both parties to send in a list of proposed directions setting out suggested deadlines for the various actions which need to be undertaken, as below.
