Some of his recommendations include ending the current regime of "no win/no fee" agreements, by making success fees and insurance premiums irrecoverable from unsuccessful defendants; by allowing contingency fees which means that if a claim succeeds then the lawyer is paid a percentage of the judgment sum and also encouraging judges to take a more hands on approach to case management and costs.

The Lord Chief Justice is supportive of the recommendations that have been made and if implemented, major changes will take place within the civil litigation sphere.
